Publish accurate structured data and a searchable catalog for the digital products your EDD store sells. citelayer® Pro for Easy Digital Downloads works with downloads, price options and the EDD payment flow.

Choose the right structured-data type

Software is only one type of digital product. Choose SoftwareApplication, Book, MusicRecording, ImageObject, CreativeWork, Course, DigitalDocument, VideoObject or Product to fit the item. Add factual version, platform and requirement details where relevant.

Catalog discovery and cart checks

Expose published downloads, details, categories and search through REST. Stateless cart endpoints validate items and price options and calculate a proposed cart. A download catalog is also available at /downloads/llms.txt, with machine-readable shop context.

Hand off payment to EDD

The checkout endpoint creates a pending EDD order and returns a URL into the store payment flow. It processes submitted billing details as part of the order action. The buyer completes payment in EDD; this is not autonomous payment execution.

Who this integration is for

For developers connecting a digital-product commerce client. The add-on publishes the API; your client must implement the download, cart and checkout requests. Installation does not enroll the shop in an AI marketplace.

A separate contract from WooCommerce

EDD 1.2.1 does not provide WooCommerce’s signed draft-cart resources, signed checkout lifecycle or signed order-read API. Do not use WooCommerce client payloads as an assumed EDD contract.

Abilities on supported WordPress

Version 1.2.1 includes EDD status, feature-toggle and cache abilities under citelayer-edd/ through the Core Abilities API. These tools require WordPress 6.9+ and a separately configured MCP adapter. Check the installed version and adapter configuration before connecting a client.

One-year license options

Choose Starter for 1 site at €79, Professional for 5 sites at €229, or Agency for 25 sites at €499. Each option provides a one-year license period. Prices exclude applicable tax; checkout shows the tax and total for your order.

These options set the site activation limit and a one-year license period. The software rights granted by the license supplied with the plugin remain separate. Check your account for the license expiry date, or ask a license question without sharing your key.
